Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website and Digital Classroom operated by Home Learning & Consulting Services Ltd (“HLCS”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Sierra Leone at 15 Oniel Street, Model New Road, Freetown.

By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

• You must give accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that takes place under your account.
• Accounts are personal. Do not share your login with others or let anyone else use your subscription.
• Tutor accounts require approval by an HLCS administrator before they become active.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

• The Digital Classroom is offered on a Free Trial, Basic or Premium plan. The features and limits of each plan are set out on our Membership page.
• The Free Trial runs for 14 days. Paid plans run for 30 days from the date payment is confirmed.
• Prices are shown in Sierra Leonean Leones and are payable in advance by mobile money through our payment partner.
• Access to paid features begins once payment is confirmed and ends when the subscription period expires, unless renewed.
• We may change our prices. Any change takes effect from your next subscription period, not the one you have already paid for.

You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.

Payments already made are non-refundable, except where the platform has been unavailable for an extended period through our fault, or where a refund is required by Sierra Leonean law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us and we will review your case.

When using the platform, you must not:

• Download, copy, record, re-upload or redistribute our lessons, videos, past papers or study materials outside the platform.
• Share your account or subscription with people who have not paid for it.
• Upload material that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Upload files containing malware, or attempt to probe, scan or breach the security of the platform.
• Use automated tools to scrape content or place unreasonable load on the service.
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your role, school or affiliation.

All lessons, videos, mock examinations, study materials and branding on the platform remain the property of HLCS or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to access that material for your own learning while your subscription is active. It does not transfer ownership of anything to you.

You keep ownership of the assignments and files you upload. By uploading them, you give us permission to store, display and process that material as needed to run the service — for example, to show your submission to your teacher and record your progress.

We work to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures in internet connectivity, hosting, payment or other third-party services outside our control. We may add, change or withdraw features as the platform develops.

Our materials are designed to support learning and examination preparation. We do not guarantee any particular examination result, grade or business outcome. Results depend on many factors beyond the materials we provide.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly where content is being redistributed, an account is being shared, or the security of the platform is at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first. No refund is due for a subscription ended because of a serious breach of these terms.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterwards.

To the fullest extent permitted by Sierra Leonean law, HLCS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone, and the courts of Sierra Leone have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify registered users by email. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
